Homoeopathy is the medical practice of treating like with like. That is to say, treating an illness with a substance which when taken by a healthy person produces symptoms similar to those displayed by the person who is ill.

Dear Dr Zeb
I have been suffering with alopaecia over 3 years. I was referred to a dermatologist at hospital in October 2003. He prescribed Rogaine, which, could not be prescribed under the NHS. this proved to be very costly and the side effects of facial hair was very depressing. I therefore stopped using Rogaine and looked into a more natural solution to my hair problem. I stumbled across your advert in the local paper back in December 2005 and I have been a patient of yours since then. I have noticed a great improvement in my alopecia. Hair is slowly but surely growing back, especially in the area most seriously affected by the alopecia. I used to be very depressed and unhappy with the way my hair looked in the past, but since being treated by you, my depression has lifted and I am a much happier person due to the signs of new hair growth.
I would like to continue with the homoeopathic treatment I am receiving from you and would, without a doubt, support the NHS alternative medicines. I was told that alopecia could not be treated under the NHS, and any treatment I pursue would have to be treated privately, which I am unable to afford. I would therefore gladly endorse your treatment for alopecia as I can see the benefits myself. It would also help me financially, should you get NHS backing.
Yours sincerely
Mrs C. C-O.
